UDS, located in Ghana and the West Africa region, provides specialized knowledge aimed at tackling the significant global issue of climate change. It is dedicated to working on reducing the effects of climate change, adapting to it, and promoting sustainable development through its research, training programs, and development of skills. The university offers expertise in various fields such as irrigation and drainage engineering, integrated watershed management, soil and water conservation, and management. This knowledge is applied to foster sustainable development and education throughout Ghana, the West African region, and the entire African continent. The main organization overseeing this initiative is UDS, which is responsible for management, administration, and strategy oversight, while also assisting the AAM-CSD Project.
